Sākusies balsošana par 2006.gada Eiropas cilvēku Latvijā
Palielināt attēluŠonedēļ ir sākusies balsošana par 2006.gada Eiropas cilvēku Latvijā, kuru rīko Eiropas kustība Latvijā (EKL). Aptaujā devīto reizi tiks noskaidrots cilvēks, kurš ar saviem darbiem vai idejām aizvadītajā gadā visvairāk sekmējis Latvijas dalību un atpazīstamību Eiropā.
Par 2006.gada Eiropas cilvēku Latvijā ir iespējams nobalsot līdz 8.decembra plkst.16. Balsot ir iespējams EKL mājaslapā (http://www.eiropaskustiba.lv/lv/gada_cilveka_nominesana), pa e-pastu vai pa pastu. Balsotājiem ir jāaizpilda anketa un jānorāda izvirzītā kandidāta vārds, uzvārds, sava adrese, ja cilvēks to vēlas, kā arī izvirzīšanas pamatojums.
2006.gada Eiropas cilvēku Latvijā sveiks 12.decembrī Rīgas Latviešu biedrības namā.
2005.gadā par Eiropas cilvēku kļuva Eiropas Parlamenta (EP) deputāts Valdis Dombrovskis (JL), 2004.gadā - EP deputāts Georgs Andrejevs (LC), 2003.gadā - futbolists Māris Verpakovskis, bet 2002.gadā - dziedātāja Marija Naumova.
2001.gadā Eiropas cilvēka gada titulu ieguva Valsts prezidente Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga, 2000.gadā - mūziķis Renārs Kaupers un grupa "Prāta vētra", 1999.gadā - politiķis Valdis Birkavs (LC), bet 1998.gadā - zinātnieks un publicists, Eiropas Komisijas administrācijas darbinieks Eduards Bruno Deksnis.
